SABE, Self-Advocates Becoming Empowered, the national self-advocacy organization held the 2010 national conference in Kansas City on September 23 through the 26. An important part of the conference is the election of regional representatives to the board. SABE has nine regions. NY is part of Region 8 along with the 6 New England States. Clint, a Statewide Project Specialist for SANYS and a past president, won the election for Region 8 Representative and is now a board member of SABE.
