Jigiya, Our New Mali Friends

portrait
4- Kadiatou Samaké

Birth Date: 1981
Birth place: Markala.

My sickness started when I was 9 months old. My mother noticed it and she brought me to the hospital. She was despaired because she was told that I got poliomyelitis. My father always took me to hospital for medication treatment. I was attacked on my two legs. I stayed indoor for many years doing nothing.

As I like Sewing I got the help of Jigiya Association which   sent me to a tailor for training. Now I am a trainee learning sewing clothes thanks to Jigiya. With Jigiya support I can afford to buy the tools at the workshop, and my bicycle is fixed up on the charge of Jigiya.

My advice to my fellows with disabilities is to work hard. Nothing is better than work. if one works, he can find what he wants.
